Who We Are
The Policy Brigade is an autonomous body led by the Canadian NGO, Dignified Independence, operating under the auspices of the United Nations. Our mission is to communicate the pro-people policies of central, state, and local governing bodies of United Nations member countries to the common people.
We also provide free consultations to those needing assistance with understanding or navigating these policies.
Our Objectives
Through our dedicated efforts, we aim to bridge the gap between government policies and the public. We ensure that individuals have access to the information and resources they need to benefit from government schemes and services. Our media organization, Policy Panorama, works tirelessly to disseminate this information widely

Our Impact
The Policy Brigade plays a crucial role in the implementation and understanding of international policies, providing essential services to those in foreign countries. We conduct continuous surveys and public outreach to gather feedback and provide analysis and suggestions to governments, helping to shape and improve pro-people schemes
Our Team
At the heart of our operations are our specially trained coordinators, who work at the inter-village level. These coordinators are multi-lingual and well-versed in local, national, and international policies, ensuring that they can effectively assist and communicate with the public.

We are pleased to address all of you as you progress through various stages of your training with Dignified Independence. Our journey is one of commitment and determination, and each phase you complete brings us closer to achieving our shared goals
Some of you have just embarked on this journey, starting with the foundational phases, while others have advanced to later stages, such as the fourth phase, and are eagerly awaiting the next task. To everyone, no matter where you are in the process, your dedication is commendable.
Our training is structured into nine progressive phases, each designed to build your understanding, skills, and adaptability. As you know, the initial stages cover essential areas such as financial assistance through government and private entities, equipping
you to access funding across various levels. Those of you in later phases will soon engage with topics like service provision, technical services, skill development, marketing, and export regulations. Each phase contributes uniquely to your growth, preparing you for a permanent role as a Policy Brigade member.
Your role is crucial in achieving Dignified Independence’s vision to support the disabled community, especially those who rely entirely on others. Together, we aim to enhance their self-reliance, dignity, and quality of life.

I am glad to Welcome you to an overview of the nine-phase training program, each phase designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills to make a lasting impact. Please read through each phase carefully, follow the instructions, and reach out with any questions as you progress.
Phase 1
Government Financial Assistance
Focus on understanding financial support provided by the government, categorized into three funding levels:
- Below ₹20 lakhs
- Above ₹1 crore
- Below ₹1 crore
Tasks :
- Limit your work to two files per sub-division.
- Submit updates in your training group upon completion.
- Ensure each entrepreneur can provide a minimum of four employment opportunities.
- Submit your two best files to proceed.
Phase 2
Financial Support from Investment Management Firms
This phase covers funding needs exceeding ₹2 crore. Submit only two required files
Phase 3
Financial Assistance through Collateral and Security
Measures
Learn about various collateral-based financial support and investment options available to entrepreneurs.
Phase 4
Services for Disabled Persons
Identify and provide essential services to disabled individuals across the country, contributing to our mission of supporting those who rely entirely on others.

Phase 5
Technical Services
Gain skills in delivering technical support, an essential aspect of assisting individuals and enterprises in their day-to-day needs.
Phase 6
Marketing Scenarios
Study diverse marketing strategies and real-world scenarios to broaden your understanding of the market environment.
Phase 7
Skill Development and Employment
Focus on skill development, creating pathways for employment to improve the quality of life for our target communities
Phase 8
Investment Opportunities and Ethical Practices
Delve into investment prospects while understanding the importance of ethical practices.
Phase 9
Export Market and Regulations
This final phase involves a comprehensive study of the export market, including key regulations. Successfully completing this phase will prepare you for permanent appointment.

Also I want to share some additional guidance to help you successfully navigate the training process and understand the flexibility available to you.
Certificate Completion Requirements
Completion of all nine tasks is generally required to obtain your training certificate. However, under certain circumstances, exemptions for one or two tasks may be granted.
Financial Assistance Upon Completion: Successful trainees who complete all phases and receive their certificate will be eligible for financial assistance of ₹4,000 per completed task. This benefit is only available to those who fully complete the program and achieve
certification.

Phase 4
Helping Disabled and Marginalized Individuals
In this phase, you are encouraged to provide support and assistance to people with disabilities or those in marginalized communities. Unlike other phases, this task does not require specific file submissions; instead, focus on providing meaningful and compassionate support to those in need. Approach this phase with empathy and a genuine desire to make a difference.
Task Order Flexibility
You are free to choose the order in which you complete each task. If you prefer to begin with a Please take note of the following requirements and opportunities as you assist ventures and prepare for ongoing support discussions with higher authorities.
Venture Assistance Requirements
For all types of venture support whether in marketing, financial, or technology assistance the following documentation is required based on investment levels:
- Investment Below ₹20 Lakhs:
Project Report is mandatory.
- Investment Between ₹20 Lakhs and ₹50 Lakhs:
Projector Report (including an explanatory video) is required.
- Investment Above ₹50 Lakhs:
Feasibility Report is necessary.
Additionally, licenses from the relevant Panchayat, Municipality, or Corporation must be secured for all projects. For any questions or assistance regarding licenses, project reports, or feasibility studies, policy brigades are encouraged to reach out for policy related support. phase, such as Phase 9, you are welcome to do so. The training structure is adaptable to your personal preferences, so prioritize tasks that align with your strengths and interests.

Bi-Monthly Online Meetings
An online meeting with district-level higher authorities will be held every 15 days. You are encouraged to attend these sessions, where you will have the opportunity to:
Discuss suggestions and clarify doubts after coordinating with your district coordinator.
Ask questions directly to the higher authorities, gaining further insights and guidance.
Engage actively in these sessions to enhance your understanding and contribute meaningfully to our collective efforts.
At Dignified Independence, our primary mission is to uplift marginalized individuals with disabilities, helping them achieve a higher standard of living. Every activity and program we conduct, including Policy Brigade Loan initiatives, is secondary to this overarching
goal. Therefore, I urge each of you to view all sectors and sub-activities as equally important parts of our support framework.
Our approach should avoid placing undue emphasis on any single institution or loan program. Instead, focus on serving individuals with disabilities holistically, ensuring that each person we assist receives comprehensive support.
This unified approach will help us remain true to our mission, strengthening the lives of those we serve and ensuring that no one is left behind

Dignified Independence operates globally through a network of both non- profit and for profit organizations dedicated to empowering marginalized persons with disabilities. As part of this mission, the Degreed Independence for Marginalized Persons with Disabilities is expanding its reach through the Ensenanza Institute, a key initiative under the rehabilitation society Elevate Excellence. This institute operates in Dubai, UAE, London, England, and British Columbia, Canada, and provides comprehensive support and
education tailored for marginalized individuals with disabilities.
